FinCo Terminal Groningen

FinCo further expands her downstream activities by taking over the AOG terminal in Groningen per 1st of February 2016 from Q8 and TOTAL. FinCo will operate the terminal under the name FinCo Terminal Groningen B.V. (FTG) per effective date and will offer a broad range of oil products to its customers located in the northern part of the Netherlands.

FinCo Terminal Groningen has a strong regional position. Security of Supply, flawless operations and customer service are the key values of the FinCo team.

The FinCo Terminal is located on the main ship channel called Van Starckenborghkanaal. The terminal configuration exists of two separate tank containments with a variety of storage tanks. The total storage capacity is 12,200 cubic meters. The installation is fully compliant with the standard PGS29 and equipped with three loading racks for truck liftings.

The maritime sector is one step closer to clean, emission-free shipping. A collaboration between FincoEnergies and Port of Amsterdam has resulted in a permit for FincoEnergies to supply biomethanol to the maritime sector within the Amsterdam port area.

The advanced biofuel facility, Advanced Methanol Rotterdam (AMR), will convert non-recyclable waste into advanced methanol at the Port of Rotterdam, which will be purchased by FinCo Fuel. Advanced Methanol will achieve the CO2 emission reductions set out in the Renewable Energy Directive II (RED II) and the Fit-for-55 package.
